Identification of Good Teaching and Learning Practices. The inclusive classroom

Introduction and Broad Description of the Context and Goal of the area/ topic addressed

Welcome to training course of Excellence in Maths through e-Debate and Diversity. This is Module 2 of the course and in this module we aim to present you the good teaching and learning practices identified and presented by each partner.

The good practices described above use interactive teaching and learning methods and can be used to teach learners with disabilities and find appropriate methods to motivate their learning.

Learning Objectives and outcomes

With the completion of this module the trainees will be able to:

  • understand the need for connecting STE(A)M with real world
  • identify dificulties they encounter in their own teaching
  • compare thinking, solutions and conclusions
  • discuss an inclusive classrom and importance of one

Content and Resources

Presentation with the summary of the best practices at EU level.

Methodology and approaches for the module training presentation

  • The description of the structure of “a good practice” (title, math domain, supporting materials and resources, learning outcomes, description of the method and why it is a good practice, how it works, inclusion class, results and assessement).
  • 15 good practices (5 min. each good practice – presentation and discussions)
  • Conclusions (10 min.)
